Sherrie Johnson - MCBS Ministries

I grew up a small town country girl, in the tiny community of Alton, Missouri located in the middle of the beautiful Ozark Mountains. A sweet little girl with blond hair, brown eyes and a dark suntan is how most would remember me as a child! I worked hard growing up and learned that anything worth having you must earn! I gave my life to the Lord at a young age and I live my life knowing that I must fully rely on Him for everything, and that He is with me always.

I first started singing in front of an audience when I was about 3 years old. Standing on a small concrete ledge in my grandma’s front yard I held an empty soda bottle as a microphone and proceeded to sing songs to my friends. I sang the star spangled banner at ball games and performed at many events through out my school years. Singing in my church choir has allowed me to be a part of many wonderful special productions; Geron Davis, Luke Garrett, Festival of Keyboards Concerts and Mike Lewis with Jesus Painter Ministries, just to name a few. I have served as a worship leader on the praise team at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where I currently attend and remain active. I recorded my first, full length CD titled “Suddenly... You Pulled Me Close". Since then I have held concerts in area churches and provided special music at local events.

I’m very excited to release my new CD titled “SO I'LL LIVE” on which I had the honor to record and published a song I co-wrote with Chrissy Katina (formally of ZoeGirl) called “Here In My Arms.” I am extremely blessed to be working with two amazingly talented Nashville producers, L. Nichols produced ZoeGirl, Newsboys, Jump 5, Switchfoot and Carman; and Kim Wood Sandusky who is vocal coach for recording artists such as Beyonce, Mark Schultz, Rachael Lampa, Jaci Velasquez and Rebecca St. James... just to name a few! God has truly blessed me with talented Godly people to help me with His Ministry. It is such an awesome thing to feel Gods love and holy presence while singing and leading praise and worship.

God has called me to pursue a music ministry using my life’s experiences through which He has taught me along the way. I could have never anticipated the strength I’ve found in my darkest times. Surviving and His healing me after brain surgery, the loss of my mother to cancer and seeing my world crumble, all at the same time. It was then my life hit rock bottom! It took everything I had to pick myself up, only to realize that the only place I am to be is on my knees praising the Lord!

It was when I thought I had nothing left to give and no strength left in which to walk, only then was I able to give everything to Jesus Christ. I had to reach the point where I couldn’t handle anything else on my own. I had to learn that when I completely give all my hurts to the Lord, that is when He strengthens me the most and does His best work in me.

My passion for music and my desire to help those in need, is what drives me to be heard. I want to share my life with others in order that my testimony and song might strengthen and provide hope for the brokenhearted. I give all I have to you Lord, take me where You want me to go!

The most important thing to me is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I give Him all the glory for what He’s done and continues to do. I thank you Lord for my life and all that I am. Forgiving, healing, loving and leading me by the hand, so I’ll live for Your name, for Your glory unashamed! I will tell the world You saved me.
